Please join us to build a stronger and better Muslim community.
Jackson Heights Islamic Center & Mosque was established in 2001 with the help of the local Muslim community and many generous donors. Located in the heart of one of the most highly populated Muslim areas in New York City, Jackson Heights Islamic Center strives to provide a strong sense of community. Through an ethics of solidarity and goodwill, we provide Youth Services, Tafseer classes, Arabic classes, Dawah groups and adult Quran classes, and reach out to Muslims and non-Muslims alike through charity work, volunteering and English classes.
Jackson Heights Islamic Center is an initiative of Muslims in America dedicated to promoting Islamic awareness and facilitating the socio-economic welfare of the common people in Queens.
To uphold the doctrine and principles of Islam; to provide an environment conducive to Islamic education, cultural enhancement and religious services; to introduce Islam, its culture and heritage to the community at large; and to enter into dialogue with other faiths to promote interfaith understanding.
1,500 people x $5,000 each = $7,500,000, the estimated cost of the new four-storey, 7,000 sq ft purpose-built eco-friendly mosque and Islamic center.
A dedicated space and programs for the elders of our community.
Outreach, interfaith dialogue and literature for Muslims and non-Muslims.
Record and stream sermons, classes and community announcements.
Weddings, iftars, fundraisers and neighbourhood gatherings.
Ghusl, janazah and burial assistance for families in their hardest hour.
Maktab classrooms, an Islamic library and adult-learning rooms.
